Yes I know in Fallout 4 they make it look like a walking tank, and in a way it sort of is, yes it gives you a big advantage on the battlefield, thats why they use it but it's not just for protection, they actually don't protect that well from small arms fire, as it is stated that a direct hit from a. No matter what kind of technology advantage you have thats a really hard thing to get around when you are outnumbered that much, which leads me to my next point, Power Armor is not that strong. I will be nice and answer it here but yeah.įirst off the Brotherhood in the Mojave is not very powerful at all, they took on the NCR and got absolutely demolished by superior numbers, with some sources saying they were outnumbered 10 to 1 or even as high as 20 to 1. You see similar questions about power armor and the Mojave BOS all the time on this sub. The base of the East Coast BOS is significantly smaller The Capital Wasteland is a bit more than the space of Washington DC Los Angeles alone is physically over 7 times the size of DC, and 10 years prior to the events of Fallout 4 the area couldn't sustain any substantial agriculture/population. They have large farms and mills/factories that produce their own goods and run their armies on supply lines, not salvaging operations, and have control of at least a large state's worth of of territory. The NCR, 40 years before New Vegas and prior to any territorial annexations north of Shady Sands from Fallout 2, has a population of over 700,000 citizens. I said this recently on another thread, but the East and West coast are operating in entirely different weight classes. And while by the time of New Vegas the BOS is still alive, its been drive underground back in California and the NCR perfectly capable of running a major campaign on the Colorado River Frontier and engage in some activity in Baja while still keeping the remains in check. The NCR has meet a more robust chapter of the BOS the original organization out West in Lost Hills.
